Questa performed geotechnical studies for the Macdonald Avenue Streetscape Projects on West and Central MacDonald Avenue. These projects included an initial geotechnical evaluation of existing site improvement conditions followed by a subsurface investigation and pavement rehabilitation design recommendations as well as concrete curb and gutter recommendations.

The project included improvements such as sidewalk bulbouts for improved pedestrian safety, new overhead street lighting, and reconstruction of the pavement section for long-term pavement life. During construction, work included field density (compaction) testing of subgrade soils and aggregate base course, as well as utility trench backfill.
