This
project involved the recontouring of 600 feet of severely eroded creek bank, as
well as the relocation of a park access road/trail and a county bike path.
Coyote Creek is one of the best-preserved perennial creeks in Santa Clara
County. There were several special-status animal species within the
project area, including the California red-legged frog and steelhead trout.
Questa
was responsible for preparing all permit documents, coordinating extensively
with the California Department of Fish & Game, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
Regional Water Quality Control Board, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and the
National Marine Fisheries Service. We completed detailed construction
Plans & Specifications, assisted with construction bidding, and
monitored construction of the project.
The

construction budget of $500K, and involved extensive coordination with the
California Office of Emergency Services.
